Warning response

Low-oil-pressure warning

What you may observe

  • The low-oil-pressure warning indicator flashes.
  • The warning buzzer sounds.
  • Engine speed is reduced automatically while the warning system is active.

What it means

The warning indicates that engine oil pressure has fallen.

Immediate safe response

Stop the engine immediately and check the engine-oil level only after safe access is possible. Do not continue operating if the warning persists; obtain Yamaha dealer assistance.

Possible causes to check

Causes are model-specific possibilities, not confirmed diagnoses. Use only the group for your model.

Yamaha F150A

  • Low engine-oil level: An engine-oil level outside the documented safe range is a condition to check after a low-oil-pressure warning; it is not the only possible cause.
